Zimbabwe is in a dire situation at the moment. Divine was just 17 years old when she lost her mother last year. Her father left the country to look for work. Divine was left her in charge of her two siblings. She represents just a fraction of the many child-headed families in Zimbabwe that arose as a result of the economic meltdown. Many parents are to leave families behind in search for work abroad. Divine was given $40, and she used it to finish the balance of her school fees and she also gave $5 to her grandmother whom she said needed it to buy pills.
